The goal of the Emergency Medical Services — EMT program is to produce competent, entry level Emergency Medical Technicians to serve in career positions in the community.
This program is designed to equip students with the highest level of pre-hospital care. The program consists of four components of instruction: didactic instruction, skills laboratory, clinical experience and field internship.
Students are prepared to care for the sick and injured in emergency medical settings. The program prepares students to develop quick reactions and competent care practices to respond to emergency calls, perform medical services and transport patients to medical facilities. Students interested in this program are eligible to apply for federal financial aid. In accordance with 34 CFR EMT Program Features.

Must provide a statement from your physician less than six months old attesting to physical ability of student to perform duties of EMT and a current immunization status as recommended by the Office of Public Health; in addition to immunization status, must provide documentation of: Hepatitis B immunization or eclination form stating refusal to take immunization series or may be in the process of completing the immunization series.
Free from communicable disease. Please Note: The applicant must also agree to an investigation by the sponsor ing agency to verify these facts if the agency sees fit to initiate such an investigation. May not have physical or psychological dependence to any substance other than those recognized as therapeutic treatments for valid medical conditions for which they are currently under the care of a physician.
The student must be verified at the provider level prior to entering the course.
