Marion shelter program

Residents are required to do daily chores and attend devotions Monday through Friday each morning with the staff. Residents spend their days seeking jobs, job training, working or volunteering. A Case Manager meets with residents each week to determine their needs and barriers so that we can better equip them for a brighter future, as well as providing referrals for services offered in the community.

Our goal, is to provide a safe, comfortable haven for the residents so they have an opportunity to save money and get back on their feet as soon as possible. Interfaith provides food, hygiene and clothing as needed to each resident. Dinner is provided by local churches and organizations each night, that include a time of fellowship and sharing. Emergency Homeless Shelters both provide short term relief for the homeless and low income persons.

Usually there is a maximum stay of 3 months or less. Many of these shelters ask their clients to leave during the day. The Marion Shelter Program compassionately provides emergency and transitional homeless shelter services between two distinct shelters with one housing men and the other women and families.
